Scientific Name Parus major Bengali Name Ramgangra | রামগাংরা Description Size is similar as sparrow. Head is glossy black which is continuous to his throat through neck ring, the region under eye is white, a black continuous thick line is there from lower mandible to end of tail. Back is grey and belly and under coverts of tail is white except that line. Sexes alike. Distribution Can be spotted throughout the Indian Union, Bangladesh. Absent above 2000 meters of elevation in Himalayas. Habits Can be spotted in well-wooded localities. Absent is dense forests. The bird is very quick, jumps from a branch to another and can cling from the tree skin in any position. In the breeding season the male utters a whistling song like “Whee-Chichi, Whee-Chichi, Whee-Chichi”. Nesting Its nesting season is from February to November. It uses feathers, dry grasses to build its nest in tree hole or earth cutting. Lays 4 to 6 eggs. The eggs are white or pinkish white and speckled with reddish brown color. Male and female both share parental duties. বিবরণ আকারে চড়ুইয়ের সমান। স্ত্রী ও পুরুষ একই রকমের দেখতে হয়। মাথার রঙ চকচকে কালো ও ঘাড়ের উপর দিয়ে গলা পর্যন্ত বিস্তৃত। চোখের নীচের অংশের রঙ সাদা। নীচের চঞ্চুর থেকে একটা মোটা কালো রেখা লেজের শেষভাগ পর্যন্ত বিস্তৃত। দেহের উপরিভাগের রঙ ধূসর। পেট সহ দেহের নীচের অংশ সাদা। বিস্তার পুরো ভারতবর্ষে ও বাংলাদেশে দেখা যায়। হিমালয়ে ২০০০ মিটার উচ্চতার উপরে অনুপস্থিত। খাদ্য শস্যদানা, ফুলের কুঁড়ি, বাদাম, ফল, কীটপতঙ্গ, তাদের লার্ভা ও ডিম প্রধান খাদ্য। স্বভাব গাছপালাযুক্ত অঞ্চলে দেখা যায়। খুব গভীর জঙ্গলে দেখা যায়না। এক ডাল অন্য ডালে ঘুরে বেড়ায় খাবারের খোঁজে। গাছের থেকে যেকোনো অবস্থানে ঝুলে থাকতে পারে। প্রজনন ঋতুতে পুরুষ পাখি “উই-চি, উই-চি” বলে শিসের আওয়াজ করে গান গায়। বাসস্থান ফ্রেব্রুয়ারী থেকে নভেম্বরের মধ্যে বাসা বানায়। পালক, শুকনো ঘাস দিয়ে গাছের কোটরে বা মাটির গর্তে বাসা বানায়। ৪ থেকে ৬ টা লাল-বাদামী দাগওয়ালা সাদা বা গোলাপী সাদা রঙের ডিম দেয়। স্ত্রী পুরুষ উভয়েই অভিভাবকের দায়িত্ব পালন করে। Story |
