Scientific Name Saxicola torquata Bengali Name Pati Shilafidda, Lalfidda | পাতি শিলাফিদ্দা, লালফিদ্দা Description Size is similar as sparrow. For male bird the head is black, neck has white patches, breast is orange-brown, from belly to rump is while, clear thin white patches on wings. The black is replaced by grey in female. Distribution During winter it can be spotted in India and Bangladesh from 700 to 3000 meters at Himalayan Foothills. Food Food habit is same as other chats. Insects are its main food. It flickers its tail continuously and watches for its prey. Habits During winter, from September to April, single or pair can be spotted near crop fields and forest areas. Color of the eggs are pale bluish white speckled and blotched with reddish brown. বিবরণ আকারে অনেকটা চড়ুইয়ের মতো। পুরুষ পাখির মাথার রঙ কালো, ঘাড়ে সাদা দাগ আছে, বুকের রঙ লাল-বাদামী, পেট থেকে লেজের শুরু পর্যন্ত সাদা। ডানায় সরু সরু সাদা দাগ আছে। স্ত্রী পাখির ক্ষেত্রে কালো রঙের জায়গায় ধূসর রঙ থাকে। বিস্তার শীতকালে ভারত ও বাংলাদেশে ৭০০ থেকে ৩০০০ মিটার উচ্চতা পর্যন্ত দেখা যায়। খাদ্য কীটপতঙ্গ প্রধান খাদ্য। এক গাছ থেকে অন্য গাছে ওড়ার মাঝে শিকার ধরে। কোনো ঝোপে বসে লেজ নাড়াতে থাকে ও শিকারের উপর দৃষ্টি রাখে, শিকার নাগালের মধ্যে চলে এলে উড়ে গিয়ে শিকার ধরে অন্য ঝোপে গিয়ে বসে। স্বভাব শীতকালে সেপ্টেম্বর থেকে এপ্রিল মাসের মধ্যে সমতলের দিকে দেখা যায়। একা বা একজোড়া ঘুরে বেড়ায়। লেজ নাচাতে নাচাতে শিকারের উপর দৃষ্টি রাখে। “চিক-চিক” করে শব্দ করে। অনেক সময় পুরুষ পাখিকে গান করতে শোনা যায়। বাসস্থান হিমালয়ে এপ্রিল থেকে জুলাই মাসের মধ্যে বাসা বানায়। শুকনো ঘাস, খড়, লোম ইত্যাদি দিয়ে গর্তে বাসা বানায়। ৪ থেকে ৬ টা হালকা নীল রঙের ডিম দেয়। ডিমের গায়ে লাল-বাদামী ছিট ছিট দাগ থাকে। Story |
